About Us Olson Fencing was established in 1994 by brothers Mark and Carl Olson in Powell, Wyoming. They started out by doing a few small fences for neighbors and friends while Carl pursued a Journeyman's electrician degree and Mark studied architectural engineering at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. In January 2002, Mark and Carl decided to make their dreams of owning their
own buisness a reality. They began to advertise and soon the calls were coming in. Mark began fencing full-time while
Carl worked part-time and kept his job as an electrician. In the spring of 2003, Carl joined the business on a full-time
basis. In July of 2003, Olson Fencing, Inc.
purchased the building at its current location at 176 N. Day Street in downtown Powell. The company employs
a staff of fourteen and continues to grow with numerous contracts for state and federal entities plus their loyal base
of customers in Wyoming, Montana, Colorado and beyond. Mark
and Carl are proud of their reputation for QUALITY installation and excellent customer service. The company strives
to be the leader in the industry with ongoing training and strong professional alliances with contractors and suppliers.

Carl Olson, Business Development Manager …with over 15 years experience in
the fencing industry, Carl received a scholarship to the American Fence Association’s Field Training School in Athens,
GA where he continued his education in the fence industry. In addition, he completed a separate training school in Tulsa,
Oklahoma. Carl also holds a journeyman electrician license, providing additional knowledge in access control. Mark Olson, General Manager…has over 15 years of experience in the fencing
industry. He is certified as a Certified Fencing Professional (CFP) by the American Fence Association. Mark has attended
the AFA’s field training school in Athens, GA and continues his education in current and upcoming innovations in the
fencing industry. Dan Olson, Foreman… has been with Olson Fencing, Inc. from day 1. Dan has attended many shows and classes provided by the AFA and recently completed MSHA training. Dan plans to attend the AFA’s field training school this year. Jake Griffis, Foreman...has been with Olson Fencing,
Inc. since June 2009. Jake is experienced in ag and chain link fencing and specializes in commercial and industrial projects.
